The Laurel Health Centers wish you a wonderful Earth Day! We celebrated by gifting succulent plants to our staff and delivering litter grabbers to each office to aid in keeping Laurel Health properties green.

Earth Day is a great opportunity to reflect on the important role plants play in our well-being. Looking for easy ways to get more veggies into your diet without sacrificing taste? Good nutrition is associated with longevity, stronger immune systems, more energy, and a lower risk of heart disease, obesity, and diabetes. Proper nutrition is about supplying your body with the right amount of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, and water to function optimally.

The Laurel Health Centers offer nutritional counseling to ensure you are getting the nutrients you need to maintain a healthy weight and proactively manage your medical conditions. Through our nutrition specialty services, you'll work with a provider who specializes in nutrition counseling. This may include a registered dietitian (RD), diabetes educator (CDE), or a board-certified healthcare provider

You and your provider will work together to create a nutritional plan to support your wellness that takes your food preferences, budget, goals, health history, and personal needs into account.
