Yekalo Beyene, MD, Returns to Blossburg Laurel Health Center

Laurel Health is pleased to announce that Yekalo Beyene, MD, is returning to the Blossburg Laurel Health Center, located at 6 Riverside Plaza in Blossburg, PA. After moving to another state in 2024, Dr. Beyene found himself missing this special community and his Laurel Health patients. Dr. Beyene specializes in delivering family medicine services in rural areas; he also has a background in treating addiction. He is accepting new patients of all ages at 570-638-2174.
Laurel Health's July Fourth Holiday Schedule

The Laurel Health Centers wish everyone a healthy Fourth of July celebration to connect with friends and family. All Laurel Health offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th in observation of the holiday, including our walk-in care programs. Our 24/7 nurse triage team will be available over the holiday to review and schedule appointments at 1-844-284-6589. If you need immediate medical assistance over the holiday, please call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Laurel Health Now Provides X-Rays at Sullivan County LHC

The Sullivan County Laurel Health Center, located at 217 King Street in Laporte, PA, now provides x-ray services onsite. X-rays can be used to check bone alignment and soft tissue to diagnose injuries, infections, or foreign objects lodged in the body. Family medicine x-rays are available Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm. Dental x-rays are available Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 3 p.m. To be seen by a Laurel Health provider in Laporte and/or inquire about scheduling an x-ray, call 570-946-5101.

Laurel Health Raises $9,207 at Purse Bingo Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who supported Laurel Health's purse bingo fundraiser. Together, we raised $9,207 to support pediatric dental services! Between the 20 bingo rounds and specialty purse raffles, 25 beautiful luxury handbags found new homes with our lucky winners. The event also included tasty concessions made by our employees and volunteers, a 50/50 cash prize, rip ticket winners, and wonderful raffle prizes donated by Laurel Health and generous local businesses.
