About Dr. Cynthia Meyer:

In her work as an osteopathic physician, Dr. Meyer approaches the body as a unit with a focus on holistic care“I employ osteopathic manipulation to treat physical complaints in combination with medication and lifestyle modifications to improve patients’ daily lives," she shares. "When someone has multiple medical conditions, I work closely with them to learn how their conditions interact and impact each other.”

Primary care plays such an important role in making care more accessible and convenient for everyone, especially in rural areas where healthcare can be more fragmented,” Dr. Meyer adds. “I enjoy science, teaching, and working with people; I love that I have a career that combines those things every day. What I enjoy most is building relationships with my patients, learning new things, and sharing what I’ve learned with my students, colleagues, and patients.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, crosswords, cooking, podcasts, traveling with her husband, assisting her son with his Boy Scouts projects, and hiking, adding, “my dog and I both wish we had more time for longer hikes!” She and her family recently moved to a farm, which is keeping them busy as they work to improve the house, barn, and land.

Education:

Dr. Meyer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Health Policy & Administration from Penn State University and her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Memorial Osteopathic Hospital in York, PA.
