About Trevor Solis, SLP:

Our speech-language pathologist Trevor Solis has firsthand experience with how this mode of therapy can change lives. His own positive experience with speech-language pathology led him to pursue a career in this field.

“As a person who stutters, speech therapy helped me develop modifying techniques to maximize my communication skills and shape my language fluency,” he shares. “What I most enjoy about speech-language pathology is helping others develop the skills and techniques they need to be effective and confident communicators,” he adds. “I chose Laurel Health to provide these services because of its commitment to providing excellent, individualized patient care in rural settings.”

His background includes providing speech-language services to address communication issues and clinical services focused on assisting patients with vocal, cognitive, and physical needs, such as treating dysphagia (difficulty swallowing) to prevent aspiration problems.
